2021 Chevrolet Bolt EV

The Bolt EV comes in two trims, the LT and the Premium. This electric car has sporty good looks with its wide sloping windshield, futuristic high-intensity discharge headlamps, and either the body-colored front grille or the black mesh variation. With a wheelbase of 102.4 inches, the Bolt EV is a dream to drive while maneuvering through city traffic or when parking in challenging spots. Choose exciting exterior colors such as Bright Blue Metallic or Cherry Red Tintcoat.

Both trims are powered by a 66-kWh lithium battery pack that sits under the floor of the Bolt EV. The battery pack sends power to a single motor that has an output of 200 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque that drives the front wheels. An electronically controlled manual transmission pairs with the power source, which lets you have the experience of driving a manual transmission but with the precision of an automatic. Charging the Bolt EV is a breeze with your home charging station or at any of the 40,000 public stations located throughout the country. A full charge using a 240-volt system takes about 10 hours, and the fast-charging system adds about an extra 100 miles of driving range with the Level 3 connection.

The zippy Bolt EV responds well to most average driving conditions with fast acceleration going from zero to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds. The low center of gravity of the Bolt EV helps to make for an engaging ride and the car handles well on corners and twisting roads.

With two rows of seats, up to five people fit inside the Bolt EV with plenty of room for everyone. Several features that come standard on the Premium trim are available on the base L trim, including leather upholstery, heated front seats, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, and heated rear seats. The Premier comes with a convenient hands-free liftgate and roof-mounted side rails. When the seats are properly configured, you can get up to 56.6 cubic feet of storage space. Both the L and the Premium trims come with Chevrolet's infotainment system featuring a 10.2-inch touch screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility. Standard features include Bluetooth, a Wi-Fi hot spot, and a six-speaker sound system. Available features include a premium seven-speaker audio system and a wireless charging pad.

It's nice to know that the 2021 Chevrolet Bolt EV comes with the Chevy Safety Assist bundle of driver-assist features, including blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, and a lane-mitigation system. Additional features include a forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking and automatic high-beam headlights.
