2022 Chevrolet Malibu

Four trim levels are offered for the 2022 Chevy Malibu: LS, RS, LT, and Premier. The LS sits atop 16-inch alloy wheels and features automatic headlights. Next up, the RS adds dual exhaust outlets, a black grille and badging, a rear spoiler, body-colored outside mirrors, and upgraded 18-inch wheels. The LT rolls down the road on 17-inch wheels and adds LED running lights and taillights, as well as heated outside mirrors. The Premier further upgrades the wheels to 19-inch wheels and adds LED headlights.

Two engines are available for the 2022 Chevrolet Malibu. All but the Premier trim are equipped with a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine paired to a continuously variable automatic transmission making up to 160 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. Meanwhile, the Premier offers a beefed-up 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission that produces up to 250 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque.

All trims are equipped with front-wheel drive and feature the StabiliTrak electronic stability control system with traction control to keep you in control at the wheel. To further enhance maintaining control of your vehicle, four-wheel anti-lock brakes stop efficiently in any condition. Chevy adds an automatic stop/start to improve fuel economy, which turns off the engine when idling.

The comfort and convenience of the 2022 Chevrolet Malibu are evident the moment you slide behind the wheel and take in the cabin's design. Standard features starting with the LS include a Wi-Fi hot spot, a six-speaker audio system, and an infotainment system controlled by an 8-inch touch screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wireless connectivity. Opting for the RS gives you a leather-wrapped steering wheel and a power-adjustable driver's seat. With the LT, you get satellite radio, dual-zone automatic climate control, rear passenger air vents, and heated front seats. Lastly, the upscale Premier offers upgrades such as leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, a power-adjustable passenger seat, and driver's seat memory settings. In addition, you find heated rear seats, ventilated front seats, an upgraded touch screen with navigation, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, wireless device charging, and a nine-speaker premium audio system.

Nothing matters more than safety, and to that end, Chevrolet has implemented many driver-assistance and safety features to keep you and your passengers safe. Standard features include an advanced air bag system to help protect you in the unfortunate event of a collision. Adding the Driver Confidence package to any trim gives you lane departure mitigation, a blind-spot monitor with cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, forward collision mitigation, and rear parking sensors.
