Basics About the 2022 Bolt EV

This electric car comes with a handy Driver Information Center, a large screen near the gauges that lets you know important information about the battery and energy consumption in real-time. You can see a report of your energy efficiency history and see what’s impacting the duration of your battery. The integration with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay lets you use your smartphone’s apps right from this ample screen.

Built-in Alexa is available, so you can ask for driving directions, change A/C settings, or turn on the music without getting your eyes off the road. The One-Pedal Driving system uses regenerative braking for even more energy efficiency. You can use only the accelerator pedal to speed up, slow down, and even stop the car. The Sport Mode button provides extra acceleration power and extra responsivity, for a more exciting driving experience.

New/Unique Features

Both the 2021 and 2022 Bolt have the same motor with 200 horsepower and the same estimated EPA: 259 miles on a full charge. The front of the car has been completely redesigned. The 2021 model has a faux grille and a golden-colored Chevrolet bowtie emblem. The 2022 model year has a black Chevy bowtie, no faux grille, and the headlights are shaped differently.

For 2022, the Bolt has two trims: the 1LT, which has cloth seats and silver-painted wheels, and the 2LT, which has leather-appointed seats and machined-face wheels. If you choose the highest trim, the 2LT, you’ll see a front-facing camera just below the black bowtie. This camera works in synergy with the HD Surround Vision system, which provides an optimal view of the car’s surroundings to help you maneuver with more confidence.

The Chevy Safety Assist Features

Chevy Safety Assist is a suite of advanced driver-assist features. When you drive below 50 mph during the day, Front Pedestrian Braking detects pedestrians in front of you and may help you to avoid a front collision or minimize the consequences. The system can also detect vehicles in front of you. Forward Collision Alert warns you when you’re at risk of bumping into vehicles in front of you.

In case of an emergency, the system can also activate braking automatically. The Lane Keep Assist system detects if you’re drifting away from your lane and alerts you of the potential hazard with a small steering wheel turn. With the Following Distance Indicator feature, you’ll be able to read the gap time between you and the vehicle ahead of you right on the car’s dashboard.

These are the most important features of the new 2022 Bolt. Whether you’re looking for a powerful engine, energy efficiency, or the best driver-assist features, this car might be the right one for you. Call Three-Way Chevrolet for a test drive!
