1. Cold Heart

Cold Heart is a great local shop with lots of kitschy charm, from the art and decorations covering all the walls and ceiling, to the diner-style tiled floor. They have a lot of really interesting and creative flavors such as Avocado, Mazapan, and Tamarind, and they’re constantly coming up with new ideas so you’ll never get bored. We recommend the lime sorbet, which is a great choice for a refreshingly tangy afternoon dessert.

2. The King

The King is a really great hidden gem, with tons of menu options, great prices, and large portion sizes. You can’t really go wrong with anything on their menu, but we recommend trying the mangonada or the banana split with your choice of flavors on top. Everything is made on-site, and as a result, it’s super creamy and fresh.

3. Rosemary’s Family Creamery

Rosemary’s is a cute, whimsical shop with a vintage cafe vibe. All of the desserts made here are magnificent creations, covered in syrup and toppings and presented beautifully. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and they’re really great with kids. We recommend trying Roseanne’s hot fudge sundae, which is a local classic, made perfectly.

4. Monarca

Monarca is famous for its delicious frozen desserts and crepes. In addition to their many homemade frozen treats, this shop also serves breakfast and lunch food, Mexican-style drinks, and boba tea. They have lots of interesting flavors that are constantly changing, but they are all delicious. We recommend trying one of their signature crepes with a scoop of Horchata for an absolutely amazing and decadent breakfast.

5. Moo Creamery

Moo Creamery is a local favorite, and for good reason. This shop is always busy serving breakfast, lunch, desserts, and drinks, and the interior of the shop is usually filled with friendly chatter from the many available tables. All of the flavors are as delicious as they sound, and there’s a good assortment. We recommend trying the maple bacon or the salted caramel, which you can order in the restaurant or to-go.
