1. Dagny’s Coffe Co
Dagny’s is well-loved by locals for its laid-back and relaxed atmosphere. You can find this place on 20th street, right in the center of town and close to lots of other local attractions. This is a great cafe to go to for quality coffee and delicious food, including muffins, bagels, and a great breakfast menu.
2. Cafe Smitten
Cafe Smitten’s bright blue brick exterior is easy to spot from a distance, so you’ll have no trouble finding it while walking along 18th street. This is a great local spot for breakfast and lunch, as well as delicious gourmet coffee that is crafted to perfection by the caring and helpful staff. We really recommend trying the chai latte or maple spiced latte, which are both very tasty.
3. Blue Oak Coffee Roasting
Blue Oak is known for its top-quality pastries, which often feature unique flavors and beautiful presentation. Their espresso drinks and lattes are very good, and they offer a number of alternatives to dairy as well. The rustic and charming decor and the top-quality products make this cafe one of the best to visit in town.
4. Covenant Coffee
Covenant Coffee is located on the north end of town and is worth visiting for its beautiful light and rustic decor which makes sitting with a cup of coffee a delightful experience. The warm inviting atmosphere and good prices make this one of the nicest cafes to visit in Bakersfield. We recommend trying a cappuccino and a pastry here while you’re here.
5. Moondoe’s Coffee
Located in the nearby town of Woodward West, Moondoe’s is worth the trip to visit. The tasteful decor and variety of seating make this a great place to meet up with friends or get some work done. The coffee is delicious as well, and there are lots of options on the menu. We recommend trying one of their wonderful lattes while you’re here!
6. The Coffee Mill
The coffee mill is the best cafe to visit in Tehachapi, not far from Bakersfield. This is a great spot to visit early in the morning, as the cafe opens at 6 am and the coffee is both delicious and very strong. Prices are very reasonable and the staff is helpful and polite, so visiting this cafe is always a good experience.
